332 West 17th Street, Apartment 1E Chelsea Charm Meets Downtown Cool!
Looking for something with a little more personality than your typical NYC apartment? Welcome to 332 West 17th Street, Apartment 1E, where classic Chelsea charm meets authentic downtown loft living.
This unique two-bedroom duplex is full of character, featuring beautiful exposed brick walls, hardwood floors, and an inviting living and dining area that's perfect for entertaining, relaxing, or simply enjoying your own slice of Manhattan.
The main level offers a spacious living area with plenty of room to create separate lounging and dining spaces. Built-in bookshelves add both charm and functionality, while the exposed brick brings that unmistakable New York loft vibe. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, generous cabinetry, and a practical layout.
Head downstairs via the striking spiral staircase, where you'll find two separate sleeping areas, offering flexibility for a guest room, home office, or whatever suits your lifestyle. With the living and sleeping spaces on different levels, the apartment offers a welcome sense of separation that's hard to find in the city.
Of course, location is everything, and it doesn't get much better than this. Situated on a beautiful tree-lined Chelsea block, you're moments from the High Line, Chelsea Market, the Meatpacking District, and some of downtown Manhattan's best restaurants, galleries, shopping, and nightlife. Multiple subway lines are nearby, making the rest of the city easily accessible.
Monthly maintenance is $1,288. There is an additional monthly assessment of $405.32 for building roof repairs , scheduled to continue through June 2028. Total current monthly charges, including the assessment, are $1,693.32 .

Agent's Note
From Curtis Bain. Details about the apartment are drawn from the listing information provided through RLS by Corcoran Group.
Exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and high ceilings give this two-bedroom duplex its character, and the building itself dates to 1900. It sits in a five-story walk-up on West 17th Street, and the living and dining area is large enough to separate lounging from eating.
Built-in bookshelves do real work here, giving the main level storage as well as charm. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and generous cabinetry, and I like that the layout is practical rather than showy. Washer and dryer installations are allowed in the building, so laundry is something to discuss rather than something to assume.
A spiral staircase leads down to two separate sleeping areas. That split between the living level and the sleeping level is uncommon in a two-bedroom, and each room can serve as a guest room, a home office or whatever suits your household.
The location is a real part of the appeal. The 14 Street station is about two minutes away on foot, with the A, C, E and L trains, and Chelsea Market is about three minutes. The High Line is about six minutes, and Corporal John A. Seravalli Playground is about five. Western Beef is about five minutes for groceries.
This is a co-op, so the purchase goes through building-specific board review and approval. It's worth getting the financial requirements and subletting policies in front of you early in the process. Pets are allowed in the building.
